On 6 May 2014, the 55th session of the Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for Economic Affairs took place, where, in connection with the information reported in the media last month, the Chairman of the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Slovak Republic provided information about the purchases of sugar and wheat through the subsidiary company Poľnonákup TATRY, a.s.. The Committee took note of this information and instructed the chairman of the committee to inform the Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic about the result of the session and the resolution adopted. Following on from the resolution of the Committee for Agriculture and the Environment, which stated that on the basis of the said facts no shortcomings in the procurement of the commodities in question had been demonstrated and that a multi-level inspection had been carried out, the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Slovak Republic considers this unfair media campaign and the accusations, which were demonstrably refuted, to be fabricated and unfounded.
