Yesterday, on 19 June 2012, a press briefing took place at the Administration of State Material Reserves of the SR in the presence of the media. On account of the imprecise presentation of information that appeared in certain media, we hereby give notice, in connection with the vaccine production plant, of a clarification of the current state:
The Chairman of the state material reserves reported that the construction is currently being assessed from a legal point of view and that there is intensive communication with its supplier about the possibilities of suspending the construction work and winding down the construction of the work, with an emphasis on preventing possible damage and losses. As the Chairman of the Administration of State Material Reserves of the SR stated, it is necessary to resolve, in cooperation with the other authorities concerned, the fundamental question of who will be the operator and how the assessment of the impact of the operation on the environment (EIA) will be resolved. At the same time, in view of the facts ascertained, the Administration of State Material Reserves of the SR is today filing a criminal complaint with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Slovak Republic.
